Welcome to the interdepartmental postgraduate program "Stem Cells and Regenerative Medicine." The Medical School, Faculty of Health Sciences of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH), and the Medical School of the Democritus University of Thrace (DUTH) organize and operate continuously from the academic year 2020-2021 the Interinstitutional Postgraduate Program entitled "Stem Cells and Regenerative Medicine.".

Master's programReasons for the creation of the new MSc

  • Stem cells are today the spearhead of biotechnology and medicine.
  • The funding for stem cell research is one of the most extensive provided internationally.
  • In the context of the external evaluation of the Medical School (February 2009), the necessity of integrating new scientific fields, such as Regenerative Medicine, was highlighted.

Positions in the postgraduate programProclamation

For the academic year 2023-2024, 40 postgraduate student positions are announced. Candidates are invited to submit their supporting documents in electronic form to the secretariat of the IPPS from 06/06/23 to 10/10/2023.

Student obligations:

  • Twelve (12) courses (four for each semester of study)
  • Diploma thesis in the fourth semester.
  • Teaching takes place on weekends.
  • Degrees in the School of Health Sciences, Biology, or related.
  • Tuition fees - scholarships
